Muxtape is a great new web application that was brought to my attention by Michael Mulvey over at Daily Exhaust. (Though it’s also featured in the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine)
The premise is simple: Create 12-song mixes with your digital music collection, and share the mix with your friends. The site is stylishly simple–a stripped down portal for snippets of musical taste. The great part is the ability to browse through users’ mixes to anonymously sample at your leisure.
It’s aural voyeurism. And it’s free.
